Air Bear has a general base of operation located at Lawrence munipal airport (KLWM) and is frequently in Boston (KBOS), Bedford (KBED), and Bradley International (KBDL) airports. We provide rapid (24/7) maintenance services for AOG status aircraft anywhere in the northeast.

Immediate opening: Home Based Aircraft Maintenance Technicians - $100K potential

Pay: Negotiable depending on Attitude, Drive & Experience   

Location: Bedford, MA   

This position does not report to a hangar and will dispatch from their home. 

This position does require you to work in all weather conditions, and flexibility with your schedule is a must as we operate 24 hours a day. Advance notice will be provided in all cases when such notice is available to the company. Mandatory Travel (road trips) and mandatory overtime with happen regularly. Work during overnight hours is frequent. 

Air Bear Aviation is the leading Corporate Aviation AOG Maintenance Provider in New England. Our coverage also includes areas from Bangor, Maine to Nantucket/ Martha’s Vineyard Islands, to Windsor Locks, CT and beyond. Wages are DOE.

Qualified candidates must possess the following

· FAA Airframe & Powerplant License  

· Ability to obtain and keep a Massport SIDA badge 

· Authorization to work within the U.S. 

· Open to AOG travel 

· Open to shifting work schedule 

· 5+ years of experience on corporate aircraft (Citation, Global, Challenger, Hawker, Lear, Phenom, Falcon, Gulfstream) 

                                   (Techs with 3+ years are encouraged to apply as well)

· Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft 

· Demonstrate a superior level of technical knowledge and the ability to get tasks completed by working around obstacles in a safe and efficient manner 

· Clean driving record 

· Ability to be a self-starter with minimal supervision 

· A strong work ethic 

· Experience in a 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station or CFR 135 operations a plus. 

· Avionics and Familiarization with FAR 91.411 and FAR 91.413 recertification and reconnect checks a plus.  

· Reside within a reasonable driving distance from BED/BOS airports. BDL is also acceptable for Part time employees.

  • Provide 24/7 Mobile Team/AOG support during assigned scheduled shift.
  • Central point of contact for customer during an AOG maintenance event.
  • Provide immediate response to AOG calls while on shift.
  • Travel within the Northeast is required.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License is required.
  • 5+ years of experience on multiple corporate aircraft models (Citation, Global, Challenger, Hawker, Lear, Phenom, Falcon, Gulfstream)
  • Ensure all work is accomplished within the requirements of the Repair Station Manual.
  • Authorization to work within the United States.
  • Maintain mobile vehicle, interior and exterior appearance.
  • A valid US Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude
  • Experience in a 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station or CFR 135 operations a plus.
  • Familiarization with FAR 91.411 and FAR 91.413 recertification and reconnect checks a plus.
